Janet's friend, choreographer and upcoming tour director Gil Duldulao chatted with Janet Xone today to clear up some issues that have been circulating the internet.
According to Gil, Janet has postponed the tour a few months to "very early 2005," after the upcoming presidential elections in the United States. In the meantime, Janet will be working on "new projects" for the late summer and fall. While he couldn't elaborate on them, he assured us that they were big news.
Janet is currently on vacation, but Gil said she is doing well and that he and Janet will be working again soon and she plans to "stay focused."
Janet is planning a very different tour this time, Gil said, and it will be "crazy."
"Bombay Dreams" tells the story of a handsome young slum-dweller and his dreams of becoming a Bollywood movie star.
If Janet accepted, she would play the role of Rani, the Bollywood superstar who sings the show's take-home tune, "Shakalaka Baby." The idea of Jackson going into "Bombay Dreams" came about after the producers first approached her about recording some songs from the show.
Whether Janet will accept the offer is currently unknown. The future condition for the musical is also uncertain, as ticket sales for the show have been sluggish.
