In the upcoming October issue of Genre magazine, Janet reveals that she regrets apologizing for the infamous Super Bowl incident saying, "You don't apologize for an accident. It just makes you look guilty," reports the New York Post.
She also claims that the White House used the Super Bowl to take attention away from the war in Iraq. "I truly feel in my heart that the president wanted to take the focus off of him at that time," she says, "and I was the perfect vehicle to do so at that moment... I mean, it's a bunch of bullshit. When you see [Michael Moore's] 'Fahrenheit 9/11,' it just confirms it."
As for the FCC possibly fining CBS for the incident: "I think it's all stupid," she declares. "It's all so contradictory. Here you have commercials about Viagra, and all the beer commercials, they're all very sexual."
She laughs, "Do I vote? Yes, I do. Will I be voting for Bush? Hell, no!"

In a recent interview with Eurweb, producer Jimmy Jam commented on the media's reaction to Janet's latest album:
"It's tough to click with audiences when you don't get support from the major media outlets," says Jam, who feels that an MTV statement claiming they never received the video for the first single is largely to blame for the public disconnect. "It's interesting because the video was sent to Viacom. [Viacom-owned] BET and VH1 got it, but somehow MTV didn't? I don't know, I'm very proud of the album; I personally think it's a great album. But you can't really control what happens once it leaves your hands. Janet loves this record, so I think she's going to go as far as she can go with it."
As had been widely rumored, Janet attended her brother Michael's pre-trial hearing today in Santa Maria, California, along with both of her parents and siblings Michael, LaToya, Jermaine, and Randy, all dressed in white. Today was the first of five days of pre-trial hearings.

Michael Jackson is not required to attend but made a last-minute decision to appear, a "reliable" source said. Santa Barbara County District Attorney Tom Sneddon will be testifying Monday in the unusual pretrial proceeding.

"After Jack (Sean Hayes) took off as a backup dancer with iconic pop star Jennifer Lopez in last season's finale, he now reappears in the same role -- but as part of Janet Jackson's performance tour. Grammy winner Janet Jackson makes a guest appearance as herself."
In an interview with "Access Hollywood" while on the set of the hit sitcom "Will & Grace", Janet revealed that she will make a guest appreance on the NBC comedy next month.
"Tell me a little bit about the episode," inquired Shaun Robinson of "Access Hollywood".
"Well, Jack is trying out as a dancer," said Janet.
"I heard Sean Hayes is a pretty good dancer," said Shaun.
"Yes, I thought he studied dance. I really did," said Janet. "There's a little bit of a routine and they go on to do their thing from there. It's so funny. I have to catch myself because I'm cracking up in rehearsals. It's just funny to watch them. It's hilarious."

Janet presented the Teen Choice Courage Award last night at the 2004 Teen Choice Awards to Bethany Hamilton, the 13-year-old surf boarder who lost her arm in a 2003 shark attack.
