Janet and longtime producer Jimmy Jam have begun work on her new album, according to Jane Stevenson of the Toronto Sun.
Stevenson caught up with Jam at Clive Davis' pre-Grammy bash, where he confirmed the album's production has begun. "It's going to be a lot of dance music and we're working with some new producers," Jam said at the Davis party.
"Jermaine Dupri is executive producing the record. It's going to be a fun record. A lot of up-tempo music. It's going to be very funky. More dance-oriented than the last one. You know, just good stuff to dance to."
Janet and Jermaine Dupri walked down the red (but green) carpet this evening at the Grammy awards. Neither of the two were shown on television during the actual show.
Janet and Jermaine Dupri attended the Clive Davis pre-Grammy party last night in Beverly Hills. Davis hosts one of the most exclusive parties during Grammy week every year, showcasing new musical talent and hit recording artists from the BMG labels.
Janet made the rounds of Fashion Week in New York yesterday and attended the Michael Kors runway show.
While being interviewed by Entertainment Tonight outside of the show, Janet revealed that she plans on be attending the 2005 Grammy Awards, and may, in fact, be wearing a design by Michael Kors.
The Grammy Awards will be telecast live this Sunday, February, 13 at 8:00 PM ET on CBS.
While nothing has been confirmed by either Janet or MTV, Marc Malkin of "The Insider" reports that Janet may be planning on headlining a reality TV series for the music network.
Attorney and philanthropist Willie Gary announced today in a press release that Janet and Jermaine Dupri will not be participating in the upcoming Celebrity Scholarship Party during the Super Bowl festivities as had been previously announced.
In the spirit of excitement in attempting to confirm Janet and Jermaine, a press release stating their participation was issued by Gary's foundation prior to written or verbal confirmation from either party. Although they will not attend the event, they wished the Willie E. Gary Football Classic Foundation well in their fundraising efforts.
Refunds are being offered to anyone who purchased a ticket expecting to see Janet or Jermaine.
