I am soooo happy you are loving my US Weekly cover. But believe me, that's just the beginning. Because u r the fans, I want you to be the first to know that I'm on my way to New York to be photographed by the fabulous Ruven Afanador in high fashion style for my upcoming Essence cover.
The stylist will be the incredible Freddie Lieba -- check him out -- he's In Style Magazine's main fashion man. Then it's gonna get even hotter when I land in Miami on June 2nd to shoot a super sexy Vibe cover. If you get the chance, keep watching ET and Access Hollywood to see what's new in my life as they will have insider info about the release of my new single, album and video. And you know I will always be here, anxious to share my thoughts with you. See you soon!
Janet will be on the cover of the next issue of Us Magazine, which will also feature an exclusive interview. The cover photo is from a brand new shoot where Janet is sporting nothing but bikini bottoms and a small, tight shirt that reveals her stomach.
The interview inside of the magazine will focus on Janet's recent weight loss, where it is revealed that she lost 60 pounds in four months.
In the interview, Janet tells ET about her recent weight gain and quick weight loss.
"I put on the pounds for a film I was to do with Lee Daniels, the producer of 'Monster's Ball,' which a lot of people didn't know," Janet says, referring to the film "Tennessee," which she is no longer involved with. "They wanted a full-figured woman. She's from the south, a waitress."
"I had to turn around and take it off, which was a task -- I started my regimen in January; it took a 'little minute,'" she laughs. "I've still got work to do. I have to build my endurance and muscle for the tour. That's the next phase of this whole thing."
ET also confirms previous reports that Janet's new single, "Call On Me," will feature rapper Nelly.
"I love this album, and I hate to say, 'expect an album that you'll love' -- which I just said, but I love this, so hopefully everyone else will enjoy it," says Janet, "and it's different, it's a little reminiscent, yet it's new and fresh."
A video clip of the interview can be streamed on Entertainment Tonight's website. Check your local listings for the time and station that Entertainment Tonight airs in your area.
Janet|Xone has confirmed through a source that dancer Blake McGrath was asked yesterday to be a dancer for Janet's new project for the next two years doing both videos and a world tour. He was asked to go to Miami in June to begin rehearsals.
Fans of the popular Fox show "So You Think You Can Dance" may remember Blake from when he was a contestant on the show last season.
A number of other dancers were notified in the past couple of weeks that they have been selected to dance on the new project.
Entertainment news show "The Insider" will air exclusive footage from inside Janet's 40th birthday party on tonight's episode of their show. The show's website also has streaming video available to watch from inside the big party.
The party, held at Shag in Hollywood on Tuesday night, was attended by celebrities such as Jermaine Dupri, Stevie Wonder, and Paris & Nicki Hilton.
"A lot of people I haven't seen in years were invited and it's nice that they came," said Janet, who arrived in baggy white pants and a matching white tank and jacket.
"My mom's known her since they were teenagers," Paris explained. "I've always loved her music."
We would all like to wish Janet a very special 40th birthday!
Also, today we are celebrating the re-launch of Janet Xone. We hope you enjoy the third official re-design of this website, which is now in its eighth year of operation. More features will be added to this website in the coming days.
The SOHH Soulful website recently interviewed Jermaine Dupri during the recording sessions for Janet's new album, '20 Years Old,' and was granted a sneak preview of her upcoming single.
"Call On Me," due to be released to radio on June 19th, is a duet with rapper Nelly and is reported to be a "mid-tempo" song with samples of "Tell Me If You Still Care," an early 80's song by the S.O.S. Band. This track was originally produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.
More details were included about the rumored second single called "So Excited." According to SOHH, this track does exist, and is a heavy dance track in the vein of Herbie Hancock's "Rockit," with record scratching and mixing. There has been no confirmation as to whether or not this is in fact the second single, or if it will feature rap artist Khia, as reported earlier on the rapper's official website.
SOHH also announced a few details about a new photoshoot, including "lime green bra & panties...frilly black lace...lots of skin." These images will be posted on the SOHH website later this month.
One of the songs on Janet's new album will reportedly be titled "So Excited" and features rapper Khia, according to KhiaGangStress.com, the rapper's official website.
The site claims that the song will be Janet's "new single" and will be "in stores August 2006." Janet's own official website, however, currently says that the first single from her new album will be titled "Call On Me" and will go to radio June 19.
It is unknown at this point whether there will be two singles released simultaneously from Janet's new album, or whether "So Excited" will be released sometime after "Call On Me."
There have not been any official statements from Janet's camp confirming anything in regards to "So Excited."
Khia, a Florida native who first gained notoriety in the southern part of the United States, is best known for her 2002 sexually explicit hit "My Neck, My Back (Lick It)."
Hey you guys, I'm writing to let you know that "Weekend" is not my first single nor is it on my album....it was my gift to you. I can't wait for you to hear my new single, "Call On Me," which goes to radio June 19th! Get ready for my "20 Years Old" album and tour! MYM J
