Janet surprised talk show host Ellen DeGeneres today by calling her while she was filming her show and announcing that she would be making a donation to the Small Change Campaign, which DeGeneres has been promoting.
Janet jokingly told DeGeneres during the show, which aired today, that she found $10,000 in her couch cushons that she'd like to donate.
The Small Change Campaign asks people to donate their spare change, the funds of which will go to America's Second Harvest, the nation's largest hunger relief organization.

The song "With U" looks like it may be Janet's single in the US.
A promotional graphic posted on the website of Moses Media Inc., a radio promotions advertising agency, claims that the track will be released to urban mainstream and urban adult radio stations on December 11 & 12.
Similar to the first two singles from "20 Y.O.," it appears that the song is not being promoted to pop stations and is being focused on urban stations only.
There has been no other official confirmation from either Virgin or Janet as to whether the song is actually the next single.

"20 Y.O." has been certified platinum this week by the RIAA. Platinum certifications are given to albums that have shipped 1 million units to US retail outlets.
The certification came to light on this week's Billboard charts when the album was listed with a triangle beside it, indicating its platinum status.

Janet is currently deciding on the next two singles from "20 Y.O." One will be for a US release, and the other for an international release, the Miss Janet Fanclub is reporting.
In addition to that, Miss Janet also reports that rehearsals for the upcoming tour will start at the beginning of the new year. No dates have been announced yet, however current plans are to begin the tour in April in the US and then continue with Europe.

A federal lawsuit brought against Janet by a man who claimed he owned the rights to her 2001 song "All for You" was dismissed Friday because the man's attorney missed deadlines for filing documents related to the case, LA's CBS 2 reports.
Aaron Anderson had accused Jackson of copyright infringement. But U.S. District Judge Christina Snyder found that Anderson's attorney, Carol Susan Keen, repeatedly failed to comply with court orders regarding the case, including deadlines for filing documents.
Snyder dismissed the suit for lack of prosecution.
The article does not explain when exactly this interview took place, however based on what the author says Janet was wearing during the interview, it appears to be from the press junket that took place in Atlanta this past July.
In the episode, Janet and Tyra let the cameras follow them as they spend the day together at a high school for performing arts. Tyra then invites Janet back to her stage for a further interview.

WHEE, THE PEOPLE: Janet Jackson has enlisted talented local troupers to work behind the scenes and on stage for her "20 Y.O." tour planned for 2007. Gil Duldulao of Hawai'i, her longtime choreographer, producer and friend, is aboard. Kane'ohe resident Laurel Thomson, a member of Marcelo Pacleb's 24/7 dance group, is a back-up dancer. Makeup artist Cassandra, also from Hawai'i, is involved. The three locals were with Jackson when she recently appeared on the "Today" show and "The Oprah Winfrey Show." Duldulao choreographed a bit of hula in a dance sequence performed on "Today."
Billboard Magazine announced today through a news article on their website that Janet has been confirmed to perform at the 2006 Billboard Music Awards, which will air live on Fox Dececember 4 from Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Janet and Jermaine Dupri attended the Songs of Hope IV charity event last night at the Esquire House 360 in Beverly Hills.
Songs of Hope IV is a special silent auction and awards benefit for City of Hope, a leading research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases. Dupri was awarded at the event with the Songs of Hope Music Innovator Award.
The two were photographed with rapper Bow Wow and record executive Clive Davis, amongst others.

MTV, who recently have begun airing the "So Excited" music video in the middle of the night and very early in the morning, are airing a slightly re-edited version of the video that features Janet wearing a black bra at the very end when she grabs her breasts instead of wearing no top at all like in the original version.
Right now, MTV seems to be the only music video channel airing this slightly modified version of the video.
