America's Next Top Model's Jay Manuel interviewed Janet on the red carpet of the GLAAD Media Awards, which took place back in April. The ceremony aired last night on Bravo.
Each year, the foundation honors an artist that has excelled in music and through ongoing community and humanitarian efforts. Past award recipients have been Usher, TI, Ludacris, David Banner and Mase.
Although she could not be on-hand to receive the award, she accepted it via video, which played during the award presentation:

Janet Jackson might feel "allergic to marriage," but the pop star is ready to have a baby, says longtime boyfriend Jermaine Dupri.
"Yeah, soon," Dupri told PEOPLE Sunday at a dinner party hosted by New Era and Belvedere Vodka at West Hollywood's STK restaurant. "Right after the tour." (Jackson, 42, recently announced she'll be on the road this fall.)
The producer - who has a daughter, Shaniah, from a previous relationship - is so excited to start a family with Jackson, he doesn't even care if it's a boy or a girl.
"It really doesn't matter," he explained at the even honoring rapper Nelly. "Janet would be a great mom. She was around so many brothers and sisters all her life, so she's got to know what that is [like]. And her mom is a great mother."
According to Dupri, Jackson is also a great companion. "The greatest thing in life is just to have a friend," he said. "When I have problems in life, I share them with her. When she has a problem, she comes to me."
Janet attended the L'Uomo Vogue 40th Anniversary Celebration in Milan, Italy on Sunday. She has been in Milan for the past few days attending various Milan Fashion Week events.
In the last photo, Janet is seen posing with Donatella Versace and Allegra Versace Beck.
Yesterday evening, Jermaine Dupri posted a new video on YouTube of himself with Janet traveling to Milan, Italy. In the video, Janet can be seen holding the video camera.

Janet is currently developing a new music competition program with MTV's 25/7 producers, according to Variety Magazine:
Janet Jackson keeps it real for MTV Singer developing music competition with 25/7
By MICHAEL SCHNEIDER Wed., Jun. 18, 2008, 9:00pm PT
Janet Jackson is getting into the reality TV business, developing a music competition with 25/7 Prods. for MTV.
Untitled project, which has already started casting, will feature Jackson as she mentors a group of aspiring singers and dancers. Project will be shot in the coming months as Jackson prepares for her world tour, which launches on Sept. 10.
"It's really about finding who's the next Janet Jackson or Justin Timberlake or Usher," said exec producer Dave Broome. "And we'll find it from a pool of people who you wouldn't typically find it from. We'll go to YMCAs, church groups, local community centers and try to cast the show."
Show will also take place in various street locales, rather than on a studio soundstage. Producers are still ironing out the prize - but it could potentially relate to Jackson's tour.
Deal also reps the latest chapter in the recent turbulent relationship between the channel and Jackson. MTV produced the infamous Super Bowl halftime show that featured Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction." After that, fans accused MTV of blackballing the singer from the channel.
But Jackson has been seen more often on MTV lately, having appeared on TRL to promote her latest CD in February. She also starred in a series of shorts spoofing MTV series like "The Real World" as part of MTV's "52 Artists/52 Weeks Total MTV Takeover."
Broome's credits include "The Biggest Loser," "The Radio Music Awards" and NBC's Tsunami benefit.
Gil Duldulao and Jackson are behind the show's concept; Jackson, Duldulao, Broome, Kenneth Crear and Johnny Wright are all exec prodcers.
"We've completed our first week of tour rehearsals and they are going very well," she said in the website's most recent message. "We are so all excited. We're having so much fun."
She continued, "I want to let you know that any rumors that you've heard of me not taking the Rock Witchu Tour to Europe and other places - it's false. This is a world tour, so we plan on hitting all of those spots. Don't believe everything you read."
The following list represents Janet's positions on all of the Billboard charts for the week ending June 21, 2008.
Discipline drops out of the Billboard 200 this week after a fourteen-week run. The album peaked at no. 1 for one week. It is estimated to have sold around 395,000 copies in the U.S.
Discipline: The Billboard 200: drops out Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums: 47 to 46
"Rock With U": Hot Dance Club Play: 20 to 23 Hot Dance Airplay: 13 to 14*
Each ambassador has chosen a charity that on June 19 will receive 10% of the proceeds from the sale of their corresponding bracelet. Janet has chosen proceeds from the gunmetal bracelet to go to the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance. Other ambassadors include Fergie, Good Charlotte, Eve, Common, Hilary Duff, Emmy Rossum, and Ashanti.
In addition, a playlist featuring each of the ambassadors' favorite love songs will be available for free download at www.love.cartier.com starting June 19.
This is the same phone interview that SOHH.com reported about last week when Janet spoke for the first time about her relationship with Island Def Jam. Several bloggers take turns asking Janet questions about various topics such as what her next single will be, her plans for the Rock Witchu Tour, and her upcoming fitness book.
In a new interview with British television show GMTV, former Spice Girl Melanie Brown said that she will be touring the United States with Janet in September and has also worked with Janet on a new song for her own upcoming album:
And we've heard you've been working with Janet Jackson...
Yep, well I'm 10 songs into my album and she worked with me on one of the tracks. I'm also doing a tour of America with her in September, which I can't wait for. She's a great lady.
There have been no official announcements made about Mel B touring with Janet yet.
UPDATE: Celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton is now reporting that this story is not true, saying that sources told him Mel B made the story up. There has been no official word yet from Janet's camp.
The lounge, which is on an elevated platform at the mixing board area, features loveseats, a personal concierge to meet you outside the venue and escort you through security to your private seats, a private bar and waitress service, a collectible Janet Jackson tour laminate, and a gift bag. The package costs $1,000 for two tickets.
In a teleconference with a select group of bloggers yesterday, Janet talked about her dealings with IDJ and plans for her upcoming tour. Hip-hop blog SOHH.com fills us in on some of her answers.
The site also revealed that Janet's upcoming book, due in November, will be titled Me.
When asked what her next single would be, Janet replied:
"That's pretty difficult to say, only because of the record label at this point. We started off with "Feedback" and the label and myself haven't quite seen eye to eye since the "Feedback" single so they've kind of basically stopped all promotion. I'm trying to figure out a way to say this, but just to say it and to be quite honest, they just stopped all promotion whatsoever on the album so I don't think you're going to hear another single off this album."
Some details about the upcoming tour:
"It's a completely different show, like nothing before in the past. My real goal is to try and do every single I've ever had... so I have to figure out how to fit that into two hours and yet give them enough so they don't feel hungry for more of that song in particular."
Why she named it the Rock Witchu Tour:
"It's fitting to me, fitting to what the show will be like. It's a dance show, it's all upbeat I want it to be a party onstage, a party in the arena. I've always said when people come to these shows I want them to forget about all their problems all the drama in their lives and just have a good time, just let it go for a couple hours and bring some happiness into their lives. It's going to be one big party, I want to 'Rock Witchu.'"
About visiting Europe:
"I just want to let the fans know because I've been reading a lot what the bloggers have been saying about the record and not hearing it on the radio and stuff like that, so I just wanted to let them know where things were as well and where it was all coming from. I've heard people talking about me not coming to Europe in support of the record just to let them know that it was definitely in my heart to go to Europe and to support this album but it's about teamwork, it's not something I can totally do on my own. Unfortunately things have turned out the way that they have with the differences between the label and myself, which we have been having for the most part from the beginning. So I just want to tell them again thank you very much for all the love and all the support and I they understand the entire situation and I'm really excited to see everybody on tour. I'm really looking forward to that it's going to be a lot of fun."
A rep for Janet has informed Janet|Xone that another new seating chart posted by Ticketmaster on their own website this afternoon showing a unique stage layout for Janet's tour is incorrect and not accurate.
Video of Janet's interview with Entertainment Tonight, which was filmed on Monday and is scheduled to air tonight, can now be streamed on ET's website.
A moderator at JanetFanClub.com announced on the site's message board this morning that fan club members who have purchased pre-sale tickets through the fan club will have the opportunity of having their tickets upgraded to front row at select shows.
The front row upgrades will only be done in pairs, the moderator says, meaning that if a member purchased three or more tickets only two of them will be upgraded.

At the moment, the selected cities where ticket upgrades will occur are East Rutherford, Toronto, and Montreal. More upgrade cities will be announced soon.

She sat with the hosts of the show during their normal "Hot Topics" section, which is when they usually discuss the day's current events.
Janet surprised host Serri Shepherd with free tickets to her upcoming tour, jokingly telling her that she won't have to sleep outside for tickets this time. Last week when the hosts of the show were casually talking about Janet, Shepherd mentioned that she is a fan and once slept outside for tickets to one of her concerts.
The appearance comes as a surprise and was not previously announced.
