TV One announced this afternoon that they have secured the rights to air a 90-minute highlight special of performances from this weekend's three-day Essence Music Festival.
TV One Night Only: Live from the ESSENCE Music Festival will air sometime in August on the network and will feature select performances from throughout the weekend. The special will also show rehearsals and backstage footage from the event. It has not been confirmed yet whether they will show any of Janet's performance on this television special.
Janet is scheduled to take the stage at 11:20 p.m. CT on Friday night, according to the festival's website. She is the closing performance on the first night of the festival.
TV One is a United States television network that was launched in 2004 and is targeted towards African Americans adults. It is carried throughout the country on several different cable providers.
Online retailer Amazon.com is now taking pre-orders for the DVD and Blu-Ray release of Why Did I Get Married Too?, which hits stores in the U.S. on August 31.

Janet was on the streets of New York this past Thursday filming exterior scenes for her upcoming film "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow is Enuf," directed by Tyler Perry.
In a post on a Twitter account this afternoon, it is being reported that Janet has begun filming Tyler Perry's new film For Colored Girls.
Tonia16t is on 135th street in Riverside and Janet Jackson is here filmin another Tyler Perry movie called 4 girls... she's so pretty in person!
No word what is being filmed at the Riverside location. Reports have indicated that filming will take place initially in New York before moving to Atlanta.
