The entire cast of For Colored Girls will appear on the cover of the December 2010 issue of Essence Magazine.
The cover image was revealed during yesterday's episode of "The View," during which two of the films co-stars, Kerry Washington and Kimberly Elise, were guests.
Janet can be seen in the photograph wearing a red dress. The issue will hit newsstands soon.
In the interview, she discusses the film and briefly mentions her upcoming book. It should also be noted that the interview contains some spoilers about the film.
Several videos from the For Colored Girls EPK have been posted at In.com. The videos include interviews with each of the cast members and some behind-the-scenes footage.
Janet Jackson and For Colored Girls co-star Loretta Devine appeared on "The View" today to promote the film. A short clip of the interview is posted below.
The entire interview can be seen on ABC.com by watching the full episode of the show. Janet's appearance begins in the fourth segment, around 23 minutes into the video.
In the interview, Janet revealed that her new book "True You" will be released in January.
Janet's official website has posted two videos of her at last night's opening of Tim Palen's For Colored Girls Living Potraits at the Lehmann Maupin Gallery.
Janet previously worked with Palen when he directed the "Nothing" music video.
Janet Jackson appears on the cover of the November 1/8, 2010 issue of Jet Magazine.
During her appearance this morning on "Good Morning America", Janet explained that the interview featured inside this issue of the magazine, during which she comments pessimistically on the possibility of getting married again, was actually taken from an old interview.
Janet will appear on ABC's "Good Morning America" on Monday, October 25, for an interview to discuss For Colored Girls, according to the station's website.
The show airs from 7-9 a.m. EDT.
As was previously reported, she is also scheduled to appear on "The View" later that same day.
Advance screenings of For Colored Girls will be held at various movie theaters across the U.S prior to its scheduled November 5 release date.
Website AdvanceScreenings.com has a list of screenings and information on how to obtain passes, most of which are sold out or are being given away through other means.
Right now it is unclear which performances will appear on the set. It is anticipated that the package, which runs 120 minutes and is retailing for $12.98, will not include each artists' performance in their entirety.
Janet Jackson performed a two-hour, 31 song set at the festival, which was held on the Fourth of July weekend this summer at the Superdome in New Orleans.
In August, TV One aired a two-hour television special of highlights from the festival featuring two performances by Janet, "Rhythm Nation" and "Nothing." It is possible that this DVD could be the same televised TV One special that aired, however that is unclear right now.
The full title of the package is "Essence Music Festival, Vol. 3."
Janet Jackson will host a special For Colored Girls Living Portrait opening night event at the Lehman Maupin gallery in Manhattan on October 24, according to AHN.
All eight of the film's "living portraits" will be on display at the gallery from October 24th through the 27th. These are the same portraits that can be seen at forcoloredgirlsgallery.com.

The Oprah Winfrey Show has posted a message on its official website looking for people who have been inspired by Tyler Perry and are willing to talk about it on the show.
The talk show's web post does not mention anything about his new film with Janet, For Colored Girls, which hits theaters on November 5, however Perry being the subject of a show leads to the possibility that Oprah may be planning to do an episode about the movie. Nothing has been announced yet.
