Also, additional shows in previously announced cities have been announced. As of this announcement, Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles will have a three-night stand with the Number Ones Tour.

According to the press release, many of Janet's shows are now sold out, including performances in New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Chicago, Washington D.C. and Atlantic City as well as single nights in Atlanta and Santa Barbara.
As previously reported, Janet will be announcing song dedications for each city on her Number Ones Tour. Beginning in Asia in February, Janet has picked one of her greatest hits to honor the five stops on this leg of the tour.

It appears that the release date and tracklisting for the upcoming Essence Music Festival CD/DVD set have been changed from what was originally announced.

Professionally filmed footage of Janet's performances of "Miss You Much" and "Love Will Never Do (Without You)" from the Essence Music Festival have not been previously released. Only her performances of "Rhythm Nation" and "Nothing" from that night have been released so far.

A second date has been added to the New York City stop of the Number Ones, Up Close and Personal Tour. According to the Ticketmaster website, Janet will be performing an additional show on Saturday, March 19.
Tickets for both the March 18 and March 19 shows are currently on sale on the Ticketmaster website.

Tickets for the North American leg of Janet's Number Ones, Up Close and Personal Tour begin this week.
While some shows will be having a pre-sale event mid-week, other venues are listing on-sale dates starting Friday, January 14 and Saturday, January 15.
Specific show information is being updated on the ticketmaster Janet Jackson Page with on-sale dates and ticket pricing. The North American tour now begins with a festival date at RodeoHouston on March 4.
Janet Jackson has announced dates for the North American leg of her Number Ones: Up Close and Personal World Tour. Starting with a two night stint in Chicago on March 7 and 8, Janet will be winding through the Midwest, Canada, New England, and a couple of dates in the South before concluding this leg of the tour on the West Coast and a final stop in Las Vegas on April 22 and 23.

This date now becomes the earliest announced show of the tour. The other three cities that have been announced are Singapore on February 7, Hong Kong on February 14, and Taipei on February 19.
Janet will perform a concert in Taipei on February 18 while on her upcoming Number Ones, Up Close and Personal Tour, it was announced this evening.
Tickets for the show, which will take place at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, will go on sale January 8 on G-Music Tickets.
"This is my first concert ever in Taipei, and I can't wait to share the love and rock it out," she said on her website. "There will be special changes in this show to honor the culture and beautiful people of Taiwan."
This is the third city announced so far for the tour, which will visit a total of 35 cities throughout the world, equal to the number of tracks on her Number Ones album. The other two cities that have been revealed are Singapore on February 7 and Hong Kong on February 14.
